Musa acuminata (Dwarf Cavendish Banana), grows to about 6 feet and produces sweet fruit. Original pseudostem was planted in spring of 1997 and set fruit six month later. Many pups were removed and replanted and has produced fruit every year. This plant started to fruit in September 1999. Image taken January 3, 2000
