
Syagrus romanzoffiana "Queen Palm", showing (two)
spathe, that house, the inflorescences. Palm was planted in the
April of 1997, from a bare-root plant, with 6 trunk-feet of height
(see image below). Palm started to flower, November of 2000.

The first
Queen Palm we planted in our yard, was a bare root plant with
about six feet of trunk. We had to transport it about 10 miles
and had the leaves wrapped for wind protection. By the way. it
transplanted very well.
