Kaffir Lily "Clivia miniata"
Clivia, is a evergreen tuberous rooted, clumping
perennial, that flowers in the winter or early spring with a
spectacular bloom. The thick green ribbon like leaves makes is
one cool plant for the tropical look in your garden. They like
bright shade and must have excellent drainage as they are not
drought tolerant.
In A Nutshell: A plant for zones 9a-11, sandy, humusy,
well drained soil, partial shade and propagation is by division
or seed.
This plant was given to me
by Irene Garcia of Gregory, Texas and this page is dedicated
to her.....
