It's Play time!      Alice, Chilli and Jana

Birds which are common to Mexico are common to the valley. Harlingen, Brownsville, and McAllen have parrots flying in large flocks. These parrots are much smaller than I am and not nearly as gorgeous. Green jays and chachalacas are common (and I do mean common). Gardens have the flare of the tropics and typically include palms and bougainvillea. Hot summer days are tempered with warm winters; winters punctuated with infrequent, brisk passages of cool air. (I don't like the cold very much. But Thad, good grief, he complains every time the temperature drops below 70 degrees.) Everything in the valley is informal. That's the way we like it, uh huh, and parrots are one of the most important things that exists in the valley. We epitomize the way of life as it should be. The four of us fiesta all the time. Our love of the tropics is obvious. Mango's Jungle is indeed a place located not in Texas, but in tropical "Old Mexico".
